Delegates are invited to gather at the largest exhibition of fish (from tropical to polar one) at Oceanopolis from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A special "Wine & Cheese" dinner will be proposed along with the visit of the fish "pavilions". This year 2005 is at the same time the International Year of Physics and the centenary of Jules Verne's death. A special Exhibit on Jules Verne achievements will be accessible at Oceanopolis for all invited delegates.

Across the Brest bay at the Naval Academy.
You will go there by Navy boats: we will start boarding at 6:30 pm. At the Naval Academy, we will be welcomed by the Admiral, director of the institution. After a traditional "aperitif", the dinner will take place in the main hall of the Academy and you will be entertained by one of the most famous guitarist in Brittany, Soïg Sibéril.
The student Poster Competition awards will be presented during the dinner.

IMPORTANT: This event will take place in a military area. We need to have, at least 3 weeks before the event, the passport or ID number of each participant. This is REALLY mandatory for registering for this event.

  • City Hall Reception

The city of Brest will welcome us at the City Hall downtown at noon. This reception will be the occasion for the IEEE/OES to present its annual awards. The President will address his state-of-the Society speech during the lunch.

  • La Recouvrance tour

The tour is scheduled from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on board La Recouvrance. Lunch is included in the package. Space on La Recouvrance is limited to 25 persons.
